Terms of Use

With this policy, we want to ensure that all subscribers have a productive, safe and enjoyable high-speed internet experience with Matrix Broadband services.

All Subscribers of Matrix Broadband Services must comply with this policy on acceptable use. Any violation of this policy constitutes a breach of the Service Agreement and may lead to suspension or cancellation of Matrix Broadband Services. The following are violations of policy on acceptable use:

(a) Illegal use of Services: Using the Services in a manner that, intentionally or unintentionally, violates any applicable federal, local, state, or international law, or any rules or regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, uploading, posting or disseminating content that is obscene, unlawful, defamatory, threatening or which violates the intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

(b) Copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights infringement: Using the Services in a manner that infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, the unauthorized copying of copyrighted material, the digitization and distribution of photographs from magazines, books, or other copyrighted sources, and the unauthorized transmittal of copyrighted software.

(c) Harm to minors. Using the Services to stalk, harm, or attempt to harm, minors in any way. This includes soliciting or collecting personal information from a minor (anyone under 18 years old).

(d) Harassment. Using the Services to post, transmit, upload or disseminate any material that harasses another.

(e) Fraud: Using the Services to make fraudulent claims in messages, advertising or other online promotional material or make fraudulent offers to sell or buy products and services or to advance any type of chain letter or pyramid scheme.

(f) Harmful files: Using the Services to post, transmit, upload or disseminate viruses, worms and other files than disrupt normal functioning of other computers and communications devices.

(g) Spam - Unauthorized and unsolicited commercial email, unsolicited bulk email: Using the Services to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized commercial email or unsolicited bulk email. Activities that have the effect of facilitating unsolicited commercial email or unsolicited bulk email whether or not that email is commercial in nature.

(h) Unauthorized access: Using the Services to access, or to attempt to access, computers and servers, the accounts of others, or to breach, or attempt to breach, security measures of another entity's computer software or hardware, or communications systems.

(i) Resale: Reselling the Services is not permitted.

(j) Using residential Service for commercial purposes: Residential Services are intended for personal, non-commercial use in a periodic manner. Using residential Service for commercial or high volume use.

(k) Third party use: Services are intended for subscribers. Allowing third parties, other than members of household in case of residential services, and parties other than employees in case of business services to use the Services is not permitted.

(l) Unauthorized modification and disruption: Modifying or attempting to modify or disrupt Matrix Broadband equipment or Services in any way.
